Roundup’s claim to fame is its safety and efficacy as a weed killer, and it has become the top herbicide in the United States. Various crops are marketed as “Roundup Ready,” meaning farmers can spray the crop with Roundup to kill the weeds while the crops suffer no harm.

At the conclusion of their lawsuit, they were awarded $55 million in compensatory damages and $2 billion in punitive damages. While the final amount of punitive damages is still under review, this case was a sign of justice for victims everywhere.
